IV Clinical Skills Lab and Assessment
Total Course Length: 6 Hours
Delivery Method: On-campus
Prerequisite: 30 hours IV Therapy course or documentation of equivalent course and/or training.
This course is designed for currently licensed practical nurses and medical assistants. This course covers hands-on skills training and a clinical practice assessment witnessed by a Registered Nurse to evaluate clinical application of knowledge and skills related to IV therapy. Prerequisite: 30 hours IV Therapy course or documentation of equivalent course and/or training.
Continuing Education courses are excluded from accreditation with the Accrediting Bureau of Health Education Schools, ABHES, and licensing from the Commission for Independent Education, CIE.
Course dates are TBD. This is a one-day course that will be approximately 6 hours in duration.

No refunds will be given for non-credit courses. If a course is cancelled by Taylor College, students have an option of enrolling into the next available course or receiving a full refund.
IV therapy kits and all supplies are provided and included in the above course fees.

- Copy of Driver’s License (Must be 18 years of age)
- Completed Enrollment Application (provided at appointment)
- Completed Program Policies (provided at appointment)
- Certificate of completion for 30-hour IV Therapy course or documentation of equivalent education
- Copy of current Florida Nursing license or certification/registration documentation as a CMA/RMA/CCMA
Proficiency statement from a Registered Nurse regarding student’s ability to perform intravenous therapy via central lines.
