Course Description
Basic Life Support (BLS)
Total Course Length: 3-4 Hours
Delivery Method: On-Campus
The BLS course is intended for healthcare providers or students with prior healthcare experience. The course teaches students to recognize several life-threatening emergencies, give high-quality chest compressions, deliver appropriate breaths and ventilations, and provide early use of an AED. Students who complete this course will receive American Heart Association 2-year certification.

Continuing Education courses are excluded from accreditation with the Accrediting Bureau of Health Education Schools, ABHES, and licensing from the Commission for Independent Education, CIE.
Certification
Once a student has completed the online portion of the course, they will receive a certificate of completion. Upon completion of the on-campus clinical skills assessment, the student will receive a 2-year certification from the American Heart Association.
Refund Policy
No refunds will be given for non-credit courses. If a course is cancelled by Taylor College, students have an option of enrolling into the next available course or receiving a full refund.
