The Associate Degree and Diploma programs available at Taylor College provide some of their courses in a blended learning style using both online and on-campus instruction. Many of the general education and science courses required are administered online in combination with the program's core courses, which are instructed on campus. The material taught and the examinations administered are equally as difficult as the traditional classroom instruction. These blended online courses are taught in the same manner, including assignments and testing, due during certain time frames. Blended online courses are only available to students currently enrolled in a program at Taylor College.
Online learning is the delivering of systematic education through specific software enabling the student and teacher to interact using an Internet connection.
Programs are offered with both online and face-to-face meetings.
The General Education courses required for our Associate Degree and Diploma programs are offered using online instruction. Access codes will be distributed during the first day of lecture, and students are then directed to the Student Portal on the website to log in.
The textbooks used for the hybrid courses are ebooks and will show up on the course once the access code is applied, during the first day of class.
Taylor College's online courses are taught by specified instructors with outstanding distance learning understanding.
Each person has their individual learning style and needs to plan accordingly. However, it is recommended that each course generally demands three hours daily of off-line preparation. Please keep in mind that each course has specific requirements and deadlines that must be adhered to.
Instructors may be reached by phone or email to answer any questions and/or concerns.
Each online course has a virtual classroom and/or discussion board available along with our social networking tools including Facebook & Twitter.
