Taylor College provides labs that are fully equipped with the tools and equipment that you can expect to be using in your Nursing career. In addition, our students train using specialized simulator manikins that offer a realistic training experience. These manikins are used to simulate a variety of scenarios that healthcare professionals may encounter and provide immediate feedback and evaluation on student performance. They’re a valuable tool for students to practice and perfect their skills in a safe and controlled environment!
At Taylor College, our focus is on your success. Employment is the goal. Our Practical Nursing and Professional Nursing programs both include clinical training, where you’ll be working onsite in actual medical facilities. During this special training you will have an opportunity to shadow a qualified professional and apply the skills you’ve learned during your campus labs, class lectures/discussions.
Taylor’s course instructors, lab instructors, and clinical instructors are Registered Nurses and are required to have at least 3 years of nursing experience. In addition, fulltime instructors teaching Professional Nursing program courses have a minimum of a Bachelor of Science in Nursing degree, and instructors teaching Practical Nursing courses have a minimum of Associate of Science in Nursing degree. Students benefit from the real-world experience from instructors who have worked in the field.
Our nursing programs offer extra lab time by appointment that is fully staffed with instructors for students who are interested in, or may need, additional training on specific skills.
